I can’t take credit for the idea behind the above photo, I was just experimenting with something another artist did…Thankfully, I didn’t burn the kitchen down trying to get the picture.
What a fantastic idea! I’ve seen “paper children” before, where the artist draws a character interacting with the world on stiff cardstock, then carefully cuts them out, poses them and snaps the shot, but I’ve never seen this exact idea or technique before, and I’m thinking about trying it.
I take it you snapped the photos beforehand? Did you draw the character in digitally?
Thanks! It’s amazing what you can get up to when the other half is at work! I primarily draw my character by hand and scan it in to the computer to touch it up. All the photos are taken in advance and I just use photoshop to marry the two! Simple really.
